Projectopolis

Excessive and changing customer requirements, limited budget and short deadline. How do you bring all this under control in a project? Projectopolis is a multi-faceted challenge, no matter what kind of projects your team actually does.

Building a district in antiquity is a big challenge for the project team. And building two districts simultaneously will be even more difficult. Players have to deal with complicated expectations of the client, and sometimes decide that specific solutions should be discouraged. They will have to cope with erecting buildings from different suppliers, landscaping the district, providing staff, and all this while staying within the budget and deadline. Players are challenged both at the decision level (e.g. project scope) and at the operations level (e.g. how to make sure they meet their commitments on time). The game shows the key issues from the area of project management, regardless of whether the participants implement classic (cascading) or agile projects on a daily basis.
